Voluntary Institute For Rural Development (VIRD)

VIRD is one of the social organization founded in the year 1987 with its legal entity which is registered under the societies Regd Act 1860 and FCRA Act. The aim of the organization is to cater developmental services to the rural poor for their socio-economic development. The most important aspects of the organization to undertake activities on the basis of the people’s participation and basing on the need of the people. Whatever the activities being undertaken are based on the community approach where the community involvement is fully ensured.

Amongst its several activities, most basic performances are mobilizing the people, organization of the people and activate the potentiality of the rural people towards the developmental changes. By the long term goal and in-depth involvement of the organisation, we have been selected as the district coordinator of NGOs and the chief functionary of VIRD is taking the active role for leading the NGO federation for giving them new direction in developmental field. With its positive efforts, within less span of time, the organization has been recognized in different level

Vision: To enable the people on the development initiatives, make them organized at their community level and ensure the better living & livelihood securities.

Mission: o To ensure the participation of the people to get rid from the social inequalities and injustice to see their secured living. o To facilitate the developmental activities for the mass development through the process of the people participation. o To full fill the organizational endeavour to achieve its long term goal to see a classless society. o To activate the developmental actors/stakeholders for extending the support to the process.
