Uganda National Cultural Centre, whose acronym is UNCC, is a statutory and a semi-autonomous body established by the UNCC Act of Parliament of 1959 and amended in 1965.

The Uganda National Cultural Centre's mission is to preserve, promote, popularize and develop Uganda’s art and culture through setting standards, building capacity and implementing relevant national policies”, as per the UNCC ACT is mandated; To provide and establish theatres and cultural centres; To encourage and develop cultural and artistic activities; To provide a home to societies, groups and organizations that champion in art and culture in Uganda.
