Street Child

Street Child is an international organisation established in 2008 and working with local organisation for the most marginalised children and communities in low resource environments and emergencies. Street Child ensures children are safe, in school and learning to reach their full potential. Street Child provides physical, psychological and psychosocial support to protect children from harm and abuse, including exploitation, neglect and violence. In particular, our programmes promote child agency, and increase the capacities of caregivers and communities to care for and create conducive environments for children to flourish. Street Child also creates inclusive, safe, secure, and sufficient schools and learning spaces that allow children to access stable, supportive relationships and routines and acquire socioemotional skills. Our programmes increase the capacities of communities and state systems to sustain schools so children can continue learning in low resource environments and emergencies. Local level action are essential for long-lasting impact. Street Child works in partnership with local organisations and include significant support to strengthen them. Street Child currently works in 22 countries between Africa and Asia and have a network of over 130 local partners.
