Shanduko Yeupenyu Child Care is a community-based organisation is located in Epworth Harare Zimbabwe. It has been operating in Zimbabwe since 2010, helping disadvantaged and marginalized children, their families and communities to realize their right to sexual reproductive health and enabling their access to quality education, livelihoods and child protection.

Shanduko works in 18 districts in the country (Epworth and Ruwa Districts) and has adopted a rights-based approach in which children, families and communities are active and leading participants in their own development. Shanduko has extensive experience facilitating child protection, Psychosocial Support and Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights programming and HIV Prevention.

Shanduko has been conducting these activities for the past three years in the aforesaid districts with funding from Plan International Zimbabwe. Shanduko Yeupenyu Child Care has vast experience of coordination and project implementation and working with adolescence boys and girls. It undertakes a broad range of activities which includes community dialogue meetings, policy review meeting with policymakers, intergenerational talks, policy discussion forums, working groups and meetings and information and experience sharing platforms with other community-based organisations and stakeholders at the district level.

Shanduko Yeupenyu Child Care is successfully integrating HIV, adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights. and youth-related policy and programming processes under the National Aids Council funded by Global Fund. The activities included training in and out of school young people and engaging community leaders and policymakers and advocacy for adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights. The organisation also coordinates and holds advocacy meetings with community leaders and government departments and civic organisations in Epworth to strengthen youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health services and delivery structures.
