Protecting Environment and Children Everywhere – PEaCE (ECPAT Sri Lanka) is an established child protection non-governmental organisation operating since 1991. PEaCE – started as part of the campaign to End Child Prostitution in Asian Tourism (ECPAT), now known as ECPAT International. As one of the founding members, PEaCE has the honour of being a core member of this international network that works to end the sexual exploitation of children. PEaCE aims to protect and promote the rights of children while being the only NGO in Sri Lanka exclusively dedicated to addressing the sexual exploitation and abuse of children. The organisation engages in raising nationwide awareness, conducting training to stakeholders, providing legal aid to victims, conducting research on child rights policies and laws and advocates for changes. It also assists the government in developing national action plan in protecting children from sexual exploitation and abuse including online safety. PEaCE strives to form an environment in which the safety and security of every child is assured.
