New Afghanistan Women Association (NAWA) is an independent, non-profit, nonpolitical and non-sectarian organization (Afghan National NGO), created at the initiative of a group of Afghan Professionals in (1999) as an NGO, registered with Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan under registration number (458) and Ministry of Women Affairs (MoWA) under under registration number (147) with active participation with Afghan Women Network (AWN). NAWA is also registered with UN Agencies and similar major donors.
