Justice and Hope (J&H) is registered as a charitable trust in the year 2013 based out of Chennai, India. The Vision of J&H is to
1. Enable protection of human rights for the vulnerable,
2. Equip those responsible for upholding rights, and
3. Enable the community to bring change and be changed.
Project 'UMMEED' (Ending Child Sexual Abuse) is one of the projects of J&H. The vision of UMMEED is to build self-governed communities with systems of safety that will prevent child sexual abuse and holistically restore those affected. It is community-based approach project, a team of Social Workers raise awareness on Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) through work alongside Institutions, communities and organizations to develop and strengthen strategies against sexual violence educating children, teachers, parents, Professionals and community members in prevention, support and response. It also ensures restoration for the survivor and legal accountability for the offender
