1.2 Background Global Youth Foundation (GYF) is Former Youth For Life Uganda (YFLU) which is a Non Profiting organization operating in Lira District with Reg No. LDLG/2019/05 and URSB No. 80020002643231, Located at Plot 05, Ngetta-Kitgum Road, Esther Omodi House in Akwaka Village, Ongura Ward, Lira City East, Lira City operating in Ogur, Agweng, Ayami Aromo and Bar Sub-counties. Global Youth Foundation (GYF) is a youth lead and youth run with a membership over of 1800 members, the majority of who are ordinary rural housewives, youth and men in the community with little or no basic formal education and no opportunities to improve their livelihood.

Vision: To end poverty among youth for destined future of living prosperous life.

Mission: To foster inclusive youth participation in economic initiative for a prosperous life through; empowerment, rule of law, good governance and civic engagements.”

Objectives a) To Alleviate poverty youth through income generation in profitable ventures driven by economic growth and sustainable development. (b) To foster justice, good governance and Civic engagement between communities, government, business community and organizations. (c) To enhance gender equality and human Rights; fight violence and discrimination of all sorts against youth inclusive women involvement. (d) To eliminate child abuse, teenage pregnancy and early child marriage through reproductive health, social protection, moral and legal parameters. (e) To eliminate sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) among youth in areas of social and economic aspects of life (f) To promote and foster elimination of HIV/AIDS infection among youth through preventive and response actions. (g) To network and create linkages for better and effective service delivery through adoption of innovative and best practices, experience and information sharing. 2.4 Goal To empower youth with skills, knowledge, expertise and offer platforms; as job creators. 2.5 Values 1.
