Community Centre for Integrated Development

CCID is a non-profit organisation based in the South West region of Cameroon. It was established in 2016 to advance the rights of communities, women, girls and young people while strengthening community leaders and community-based organisations to respond to the needs of indigenous people. In order to realise this mission, CCID supports integrated development initiatives in the areas of gender equality of equity, sustainable livelihoods, participatory leadership, governance and authority. CCID recognises that there is a need to build resilient communities in Africa capable of (i) advancing the rights and empowerment of women and girls (ii) empowering individuals and groups to become community change agents and (iii) promoting health, education and human rights for all. CCID is continuously working to ensure that young people have access to educational opportunities, youth-friendly reproductive rights services, and resources to assume leadership with a focus on social planning and policy change. CCID is member to the MenEngage Alliance Network, Girls Not Bride, Sex Rights Africa Network, ShareNet International, amongst others
