The Aware Foundation (TAF)

In Pakistan, rural and marginalized communities, particularly youth, are facing poverty, inequality, and lack of respect for basic fundamental human rights and social services. In order to reduce these mentioned problems, a group of motivated and young professionals gathered and expressed their commitment to raise the voices of the deprived and vulnerable segments of society. This group developed the foundation under the title, The Aware Foundation (TAF) because the role of the local non-government organizations is to not ignore marginalized communities. In year 2010, TAF was formed and legally registered in 2015, under the Society’s Welfare Act of 1860.

The Aware Foundation (TAF), in short period of time, developed a good reputation within local communities and among key stakeholders especially youth, because of results-oriented advocacy engagements, capacity building and awareness-raising, and volunteerism in social services in the Sindh Province of Pakistan.
