Gender and Inclusion
Safe to Learn follows a gender transformative approach to ensure that the root causes of gender-based violence and gender-based inequalities are addressed and works to transform harmful gender roles, norms and power imbalances at the roots of gender-based violence. The gender transformative approach goes beyond looking at differences based on sex and differentiated practical needs of men and women, and girls and boys, and seeks to challenge unequal gender norms and discrimination that are both socially constructed to strengthen equality and inclusion.
