Global cash injection takes battle to end online child sexual abuse imagery to the next level

The Fund to End Violence Against Children has awarded the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), the UK based international online safety charity, a grant to set up 30 Reporting Portal solutions in some of the world’s least developed countries.

In an historic move, the funding will enable countries to provide a quick and easy way for their web users to safely and anonymously report disturbing online images and videos of child sexual abuse.

End Violence Session at the Youth Assembly in New York

End Violence Secretariat together with World Vision International and ChildFund Alliance led today a workshop at the Youth Assembly in New York. The session titled “Building a Global Movement to End Violence Against Children” was actively attended by over 140 youth delegates form countries all over the world who exchanged views and learnt about the global epidemic of violence against children and the various solutions to different forms of violence.

Fund to End Violence Against Children Issues Global Call for Project Proposals

The Fund to End Violence Against Children launched today a call to Governments and specialised organisations at local, regional and global levels to submit project proposals targeting online sexual exploitation and other forms of violence and abuse of children on the internet.

Globally, children face cyber-threats that are often poorly understood and underestimated by policymakers and parents alike. Online sexual exploitation and abuse of children is one the most urgent of these rapidly emerging risks.

Global leaders and youth advocates launch new partnership and fund to end violence against children everywhere

NEW YORK, 12 July 2016 – Today at the United Nations, children joined world leaders to launch a new partnership and fund to make ending violence a public priority and a collective responsibility. The Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children brings together governments, foundations, the UN, civil society, the academia, the private sector and young people in driving action toward achieving the new global target to end abuse, exploitation, trafficking and all forms of violence and torture against children.
