New strategy, new website coming soon

In September 2018, the End Violence Board approved our new strategy for 2019-2021. Building on progress made in the first two years, we are now well positioned to scale the impact of the Global Partnership in the next 3 years.

In order to reflect and help implement the new strategy, the website is currently being rebuilt. Should you need further information, please contact us

The Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children includes organizations from every sector, and children themselves – uniting their voices, actions and resources in a unique collaboration focused solely on ending violence against all children.

Vision 2030

A world in which every child grows up safe and secure

Our Mission

Make societies safer for children and end violence against children everywhere

Our Objectives

Over the next 3 years, we will:

Grow demand for change

by raising awareness and catalyzing a global movement, using major events including HLPF in 2019 to grow the number of governments committing to end violence against children, and launching the Safe to Learn campaign

Mobilize new resources

for everyone working to end violence against children, convening experts to prepare a seminal investment case for ending violence, and laying the foundations for major resource mobilization in 2020 and beyond.

Equip practitioners

with the support they need, by sharing evidence and solutions, brokering access to expertise, launching a global learning platform, and better aligning investments from the End Violence Fund with the Partnership’s new strategy

How we deliver change

For further details, please contact the secretariat team.

Investment Case

We are making the case that ending violence against children is not just the right thing to do. It’s also a smart investment to make. The investment case will include a financial analysis of the costs of interventions to end violence against children, and the return on those investments.

Opportunity 2019

In 2019, we have an historic opportunity to accelerate more and better action to end violence against children. The backbone of the opportunity is made-up of three UN-led moments: the High Level Political Forum (HLPF) assessment of progress against SDG 16 (July 2019), the Heads of Government assessment of progress against all SDGs (September 2019), and the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (November 2019).

Resource Mobilization

We are currently preparing a full resource mobilization strategy for the coming years to mobilize resources for everyone working to end violence, including the End Violence Fund and Secretariat.

End Violence Fund

The Fund provides financial support to programs and activities that further the Partnership’s goal of accelerating action. Three donors have committed $68 million to the End Violence Fund, of which $33 million has been received, and $29.4 million disbursed to grantees.

Safe to Learn Campaign

Every child deserves to be safe and secure in school so that they can learn, grow and develop the skills and confidence they need to lead healthy and prosperous lives. Ending violence in and around schools requires coordinated efforts at multiple levels. We are bringing together a 'Coalition of Coalitions' to make that happen

Country Engagement

In 2018, the number of Pathfinders has almost doubled, from 13 to 23. We call on governments to make public commitments to accelerate action towards achieving SDG 16.2, including with a 3 to 5-year action plan.
